The Book of Honor: Chosen to Teach and to Tell
The Book of Honor: Chosen to Teach and to Tell details the real-life journey of its author to finding her identity in Jesus Christ. A brown-skinned, Black girl cared for by a village including her African American parents and grandmother, teachers, and church, Veronica Y. Njeri-Imani enters adulthood with questions about the future. Her personal story of being chosen—of becoming equipped for service through higher education, of transforming students’ lives, of having the courage to love—is also one of recovery and restoration. A harrowing, wilderness experience brings Njeri-Imani into her purpose as an author and a teacher. As a post-desegregation, autobiographical narrative, The Book of Honor: Chosen to Teach and to Tell challenges readers to move beyond fear and stereotypes, to use faith to change the world, and to honor the Creator with their lives.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
I connect positively with everyday people in extraordinary ways. My expertise and transparency will give you hope. You. Matter. Period.
In my first encounter with Ms. Njeri-Imani at an African American Mental Health Initiative (AAMHI) Village Talk, I immediately recognized and appreciated her honesty and candor regarding her journey towards Mental Wellness. In her first appearance as a Guest Speaker for an AAMHI Event, Veronica spoke so passionately about the need to take control, educate and advocate for oneself and our loved ones. It is not surprising that she highly esteemed by the African American community!
She’s certainly led an exciting life.
When I decided to return to college, I was very apprehensive. I felt intimated by younger minds, but meeting Professor Veronica changed my entire prospective. She was one of the most intelligent, amazing, warm hearted persons I had ever met. She instills in you to be proactive about your goals and always speak positive in any given situation.
